This Modern Design ballistic helmet is tested and proven to achieve a ranking of Level IIIA by the U.S National Institute of Justice NIJ STD 0106.01. It is designed with attractive and functional features that will set you ahead of the curve when you need something to withstand a .357 sig full metal jacket flat nose rounds (FMJ FN) and .44 Magnum semi jacketed hollow point (SJHP) rounds at velocities traveling up to 1450 ft/s.
In contrast to competing aramid products, composite material consisting of polyethylene, carbon fibers and other components is used on helmet shell.
Although the Wendy helmet is very light thanks to material used, its shell provides ballistic resistance IIIA according to the latest standard, anti fragment protection and top impact protection according to ACH standards.
Wendy helmet has aluminum night vision holder on front and 2 Ballistic/SL Rail 3.0 System side adapters for mounting other accessories such as flashlights, headphones, etc. The rails are of Magpul MOE Picatinny type and allow accessories to be attached. They also include set of shock cord cables for stabilizing night vision mounted at front.
